Nipawin Area Tourism welcomes you

Nipawin is the centre of an area blessed with an abundance of wonderful natural beauty. We lie on the edge of the Northlands with its beautiful forest and pristine lakes. The Saskatchewan River, Tobin Lake and Codette Lake are at our doorstep. These water sources provide an abundant fishery. Giant Walleye and Northern Pike thrill anglers each year. Nipawin is host to the Premiere's Cup and the Vanity Cup.
We also like on the edge of the Great Plains. A mile south of town we have an endless view of grainfields and open sky. Wildlife of many kinds abounds in this rich diverse landscape. We are also home to many man made treasures: an 18-hole golf course rated as one of the finest in Canada. Hiking, biking and snowmobile trails can take you as far as your heart desires. Parks, camping, curling, hockey and swimming are only a few of the activities here!
We have a very nice boat launch in the Regional Park, one at Codette Lake and Carol's Cove and Pruden's Point. You can rent boats from the boat dock in the Regional Park.
The Torch River is between the farmland and the forest and offers some of the best canoeing in the area. You can visit the world renowned archaeological finds of Big Bert (Teleorhinus) near Carrot River.
We have great cross country and downhill skiing. We have local groomed cross country trails and snowmobile trails in the area. It is a great place to come snowmobiling with great trails through the bush. They go through some very nice terrain. As well we have groomed cross country trails at Torch Valley Country Retreats, Wapiti, the regional park and other places in the surrounding the area.
We have outfitting and hunt ranches in the area. Ice fishing is really great on Codette and Tobin Lake. The Nipawin Pike festival is a year round event. Our Regional Park offers RV parking and camping sites.
